Excelsior Jr./Sr. High School operates both regular and special education programs for
59 students, ages 10 - 18, who are residents of Trinity•Sacramento. Excelsior is certified by the California State Department of Education Nonpublic School and Agency Unit. Excelsior is under contract with the following local educational agencies:
San Juan Unified School District Sacramento City Unified School District
Folsom/Cordova Unified School District
The ratio for adults who work directly with students is 1:4. Class sizes average
8 - 12 students.
40% of Excelsior's students carry a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
Excelsior Jr./Sr. High School takes great pride in the achievements of our students. Behavioral issues, attendance and grades are all emphasized in an effort to allow our students to reach their goals. Extracurricular activities such as
Student Council, CIF Athletics, the Chess Club, and Creative Writing
Club encourage students to pursue their creative interests as well as their academic skills.
Excelsior received the "Best School Award" from Advanced Education Services, for the
April - June period, 2004. The Apple Award is proudly displayed in
